Robert-Heepyoung Oh, Baritone

Robert-Heepyoung Oh was born in Pusan, Korea. He was a Resident Artist at the Tri-Cities Opera (2011~2014).

His most recent appearance opera was a title role in Rigoletto, Don Alfonso in La Favorita with West Side Opera Society in NYC and Marcello in La Boheme with New York Lyric Opera Theater. Also, he has sung roles as Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Escamillo in Carmen, Tonio in I Pagliacci, Count in IL Trovatore, Speaker in Magic Flute, Enrico in Lucia dI Lammermoor, Registrar in Madama Butterfly with Tri-Cities Opera. And he sang Elijah in Elijah with Binghamton University Symphony Orchestra and University Choir, King Balthazar in Amahl and the Night Visitors in the Binghamton University Opera. Bass solo in Faure’s Requiem at Midsummer Dream Music Festival, Quebec in Canada.

He was a winner at the Kwangju International Voice Competition; Korea Voice Competition; 2nd Prize winner, Bimok Voice Competition; 2nd Prize winner in Korea. In the U.S, his competition credits include the NATS Competition Rio Grande Chapter; Adult Division 1st Prize winner & Most Promising Singer Prize (2010), Fifth Lois Alba Aria Competition; 2nd Prize winner & Audience Choice Prize winner (2010), The Binghamton Harmony Club Adopted Artist (2011~2012 Season), NATS Competition Central New York Finger Lakes Region; Advance Division 1st Prize (2012), Metropolitan International Voice Competition; Grand Prize winner (2013), NATS Competition Eastern region; Upper Advanced Division; 1st Prize winner, New Jersey Verismo Opera International Competition; 3rd prize winner.

His previous oratorio solo and concert appearances include Weber Messe in G-dur, Mozart Coronation Mass, Handel Messiah, Beethoven Symphony 9. He invited by Clarke University for Christmas Concert in Dubuque, IA. His debut was as feature soloist in Metropolitan International Music Festival Gala Concert. Opera Gala concert, Opera Show case concert with New York Lyric Opera Theater at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Oh received a Bachelor of Music degree in voice from the Korea National University of Arts, Master of Music in Opera from SUNY Binghamton University.

He is member of AGMA since 2011 and Artist at Randsman Artists Management.
